Zurich Classic 2026: Odds, Schedule, Location, and TV Info

The PGA Tour heads to the Big Easy for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the lone team event on the season schedule. Until now the season was an individual contest between players, but this week a number of the best players will work together in a best ball and alternate shot format. Coming off a win at the RBC Heritage, Matt Fitzpatrick and his brother Alex opened as the PGA golf odds favorites.

What Is The Zurich Classic of New Orleans?

The 15th tournament of the 2026 season, not counting last month’s alternate field Puerto Rico Open, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans is the only team event on the schedule. First played in 1938 the event changed to a team format for the 2017 edition. The field consists of 74 two-man teams (148 players) with alternating four-ball and foursomes rounds over four days.

Where Is The Zurich Classic of New Orleans Played?

TPC Louisiana in Avondale, a New Orleans suburb, became the host venue starting in 2006. However, damage to the course from Hurricane Katrina that year forced a delay until 2007. The tournament has been played on the TPC layout every year since. The 7,425-yard, par-72 track features plenty of water hazards, but it is considered one of the most scorable courses on the Tour.

The tournament will be held over four days starting on Thursday, April 23 with the final round on Sunday, April 26. Rounds 1 and 3 are best ball while Rounds 2 and 4 are alternate shot. The Zurich Classic of New Orleans Betting Odds & Markets

Since the format is different from every other tournament on the schedule, betting markets differ slightly. The focus here is on the team with wagering options based on which pair of golfers performs better. The standard markets are available with the team of Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick topping the early outright PGA golf odds betting board.

The Fitzpatrick’s come in with serious momentum. Matt won last week’s RBC Heritage in a playoff over Scottie Scheffler, his second win in a month. Alex won his first DP World Tour title in March. Perhaps the most exciting team features a pair of major champions in Brooks Koepka and Shane Lowry. Lowry won the title two years ago when teamed with Rory McIlroy. Five teams boast shorter than 20/1 odds on the early board.

Alternate shot is more difficult than best ball, since one player’s mistake can impact the team. Teams with high strokes gained: tee-to-green metrics typically perform better. Also, chemistry is often considered a plus in a team format. Last year’s champions Andrew Novak and Ben Griffin have the third shortest odds while several teams from 2025 are back.
