Notable CFB Week 13 Odds

  • Oregon (-7.5) is an intriguing price at home against USC is one of the biggest games of the weekend. However, resurgent USC is coming off an impressive comeback home win over Iowa and could stay within that number.
  • Illinois (-9.5) is an interesting line on the road against Wisconsin. Fighting Illini head coach Bret Bielema had his best moments leading the Badgers and would love nothing more than to beat his old team at Camp Randall Stadium. Last week, Wisconsin was routed at Indiana. At the same time, the Fighting Illini blasted visiting Maryland.
  • Texas (-9.5) catches attention in an SEC home game with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Last week, Texas was routed in an embarrassing loss at Georgia. But Arkansas is outclassed in this matchup and playing for interim coach Bobby Petrino. Texas will be looking for a redemption shot.

CFB Week 13 Predictions

  • Ohio State -32.5 vs. Rutgers – This matchup at the Horseshoe is a profound mismatch. The betting odds price is indeed high on Ohio State, but do you really want to step into Ohio State with a plodding Rutgers team? Ohio State lost only one game to the spread this season.
  • Nebraska +9.5 at Penn State – The Cornhuskers are rejuvenated with freshman QB TJ Lateef, who completely transformed the offense in a win at UCLA. The Huskers have had two weeks to heal and prepare for a strong finish and an outside shot at the College Football Playoff. Meanwhile, Penn State is playing out the string. However, PSU did score a win last week at moribund Michigan State. The improved Huskers are getting a lot of points against a team that underachieved this season.  So far in 2025, Penn State has covered only three of its ten games.
  • Oklahoma -8.5 vs. Missouri – Missouri has been forced to play freshman QB Matt Zollers with Beau Pribula out with an injury. That situation is problematic against an Oklahoma team that ranks among the nation’s best defensive units. Concurrently, Oklahoma has plenty of confidence after beating Alabama.
  • Utah -16.5 vs. Kansas State – The Kansas State Wildcats have been one of the biggest disappointments in college football this season. Kansas State was a favorite to win the Big 12 but is on the brink of missing a bowl game. Naturally, Utah is tough as nails and has shown significant improvement this season. Utah is coming off a blowout road win against the Baylor Bears, while Kansas State barely escaped Oklahoma State with a win over the putrid Cowboys.
  • Iowa State -3.5 vs. Kansas – The Kansas Jayhawks are one of the nation’s biggest disappointments in the Big 12 this season. The pitiful Kansas defense has not kept pace with its prolific offense. Iowa State is finally pulling out of a midseason slump that ruined its chances for a big season. Still, Iowa State is a strong home team.

  • Utah is 8-2 against the spread this year.

  • Penn State is 1-5 against the spread at home.
  • Oklahoma covered four of its last six games as chalk.
  • Ohio State covered seven of its most recent eight Big Ten games.
