Warriors at Thunder Preview, Odds & Betting Tips

The Warriors have been treading water while Stephen Curry remains sidelined with a lingering knee issue. It’s unlikely he’s back in the lineup for this game making the task of beating the best team in the NBA that much more difficult.

OKC is coming off a 3-game road trip and a stretch where they played five of six away from home. They successfully managed that stretch and welcomed back MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander winning their first 3 games since his return after missing nearly all of last month.

Warriors at Thunder Preview

The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder wrap up their 4-game season series in primetime on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The game from Paycom Center in OKC tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET and will air on ABC

Public Betting Odds Factors

  • The Warriors are in a unique position in the Western Conference standings. They’re firmly entrenched in a play-in spot unlikely to move into the top 6 or out of the top 10. Therefore, with their fate defined, what are they going to do? There’s no reason to rush Curry back before he’s ready and the coaching staff will tinker with rotations.
  • Curry hasn’t played since Jan. 30 with the Dubs going 4-7 SU and 3-8 against the NBA spread in 11 games since then. And they’ve won just 8 of the 22 games he’s missed this season.
  • Without Curry the Warriors lack an identity. Over the 11 games with Curry sidelined the Warriors had 7 different players lead them in scoring. And they haven’t won consecutive games since the middle of January.
  • Among the 20 teams currently in a postseason slot the Warriors have the worst record of the bunch at 12-17. They also boast one of the worst road cover ratios in the NBA with payouts in just 41.4 percent of their away games.
  • After already handling the Warriors in their first 3 matchups, this one could be a letdown spot for OKC. They are coming off a string of 3 road games in 4 nights and have Denver, Boston and Minnesota next on the schedule.
  • The return of SGA hasn’t made the Thunder completely whole. The club remains without second leading scorer Jalen Williams and key reserve Ajay Mitchell. Williams averages 17.5 points and Mitchell adds 14.1 points per game leaving the backcourt depleted.
  • At 25-6 the Thunder has the best home record in the NBA, but they are just 2-2 against the Warriors in the last 4 meetings in OKC.

Warriors at Thunder Predictions

  • OKC has manhandled the Warriors this season winning all 3 meetings by an average of more than 24 points. Curry’s absence impacts the offense and given Golden State’s situation they are vulnerable for another pasting.
  • The Thunder also showed that they can play without the reigning MVP going 5-4 in his recent 9-game absence. Overall this season OKC is 8-4 in games Gilgeous-Alexander didn’t play.

Warriors at Thunder Betting Tips

  • The Warriors coughed up a lead in Monday’s loss to the Clippers, their 8th defeat in 12 games. During that span they were just 3-9 against the NBA betting line.
  • The OVER is 6-2 in Golden State’s last 8 games.
  • After a rough patch in early February the Thunder righted the ship going 8-2 SU. They failed to get a payout, though, in their last 3 games.

Warriors at Thunder Head to Head and Key Stats

  • OKC has wins and covers in all 3 matchups this season and is 7-2 SU and 5-3-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings.
  • The Dubs have 2 wins in their past 4 visits to OKC, but won’t have Curry, who totaled 66 total points in those 2 victories.
  • The teams have gone OVER the total in 7 of the last 10 matchups.
  • SGA is averaging 32 points In 3 games against the Warriors this season.
