Valspar Championship 2026: Odds & How to Watch

Following a thrilling weekend at the PGA Tour’s fifth major, the field heads to the Tampa area to conclude the season’s Florida Swing at the Valspar Championship. A strong field with seven of the world’s top 20 players is headlined by the highest ranked golfer in the field and early outright favorite on the PGA golf odds No. 7 Xander Schauffele.

What Is The Valspar Championship?

Debuting in 2000 as an alternate field event, the tournament gained stand alone status in 2003 and has been an annual stop on the Florida Swing for the last several years. This marks the fifth straight season the Valspar Championship is played after THE PLAYERS Championship and brings the series of events in the Sunshine State to a close.

Where Is The Valspar Championship Played?

The tournament is played annually on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL. The 7,352-yard, par-71 layout is considered one of the more popular stops on Tour by players. Tree lined fairways and narrow corridors put a premium on accuracy. A difficult three-hole closing stretch known as the “Snake Pit” can make for an interesting finish.

The Valspar Championship Betting Odds & Markets

Following the Tour’s fifth major is always a difficult task, but the Valspar attracts a strong field even though some of the bigger names have opted out. Four players boast shorter than 20/1 PGA golf odds in the outright market led by Xander Schauffele, who placed alone in 3rd at THE PLAYERS for his second top 10 in three starts.

Paul Casey (2018-19) and Sam Burns (2021-22) went back to back here in recent years and Viktor Hovland will attempt to add his name to the list. The defending champion is coming off consecutive T13 finishes giving him 8 top 15 showing in his last 11 starts overall. Hovland earned a podium in his first Valspar start in 2021.
