TGL Semifinals Preview: Odds, Expert Insights & Betting Tips

Atlanta Drive Golf Club begins defense of its Tomorrow’s Golf League title in a semifinal match against Los Angeles Golf Club as the TGL playoffs get underway on March 17. The second semifinal pits playoff newcomers Boston Common Golf against Jupiter Links Golf Club. Boston won the regular season title going 4-1 with its only loss to Atlanta.

TGL Preview

A win and an overtime loss in the final week of the regular season was enough to put Jupiter Links into the postseason. It was a thrilling turnaround for Tiger Woods’ team that failed to reach the playoffs last season with just one victory. Woods didn’t contribute on the course but he was present for every match offering his mates moral support.

Boston went from worst to first thanks in part to Rory McIlroy. The Ballfrogs failed to win a match last season but turned things around to go 4-1 claiming the No. 1 playoff seed. Boston’s Keegan Bradley was the only player to peg it up in every TGL match this season.

LAGC is looking for redemption after losing to New York in the semis as the No. 1 seed last season. LA won the tie-breaker for second place with more holes won. Playoff seedings meant nothing last season with the top two losing in the semis. Atlanta won as the No. 3 seed, which is the same position they are in now.

  • With the pressure on entering the final matches of the season Jupiter Links came through earning a point with an overtime loss to Boston then authoring an epic comeback to beat The Bay in a win and in the regular season finale.
  • Jupiter trailed 6-3 with 3 holes remaining taking the lead on the penultimate hole thanks to an ace from Tom Kim with the Hammer dropped. Kevin Kisner secured the win with a 13-foot birdie putt capping a 6-0 run.
  • Atlanta last played on Feb. 23 when it secured a playoff spot with a 5-2 win over Boston in the first of two matches that day. Atlanta dropped its season finale to LA 7-3 and waited until the final matches of the season for its fate to be determined.
  • As the No. 3 seed last season Atlanta went undefeated in the playoffs beating The Bay in the semis then sweeping New York in the SoFi Cup Finals.
  • LA’s star-studded lineup consists of 3 of the top 5 players in the world rankings. Tommy Fleetwood (#3), Collin Morikawa (#4) and Justin Rose (#5) are joined by Sahith Theegala and Tony Finau for the postseason.

Tomorrow’s Golf League Schedule and Betting Lines

Two single-elimination semifinal matches will determine the teams that will play in the best-of-three SoFi Cup Finals a week later on March 24 and 25. Both semifinal matches are scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 at the SoFi Center.

Despite their record and not qualifying for the playoffs last season, Boston Common began this season as a TGL betting odds favorite to win the title. Winning their first two matches moved them into the top spot on the futures board and BC enters the playoffs as the +190 championship favorite.

  • Boston Common Golf +190
  • Los Angeles GC +250
  • Atlanta Drive GC +300
  • Jupiter Links GC +435

Odds have surfaced for the semifinals with the top seeds Los Angeles and Boston both favored to advance. Boston is a considerable favorite to beat Jupiter Links going off at -175. Jupiter could get a boost from the return of Tiger Woods, who has hinted at a return for the playoffs.

TGL Semifinal Schedule

Tuesday, March 17, 2026

3 Atlanta Drive GC (+115) vs. 2 Los Angeles GC (-135), 6:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

4 Jupiter Links GC (+151) vs. 1 Boston Common Golf (-175), 9 p.m. ET (ESPN)

  • Given Boston’s deep connection to St. Patrick’s Day I guess it’s only fitting that the No. 1 seed starts its journey to a title on Mar. 17. A few weeks ago the teams played an epic battle with Jupiter winning the final two Singles holes behind Max Homa and Tom Kim to force overtime.
  • As it turned out the point was huge for Jupiter, which secured the No. 4 seed outright with a win over The Bay in its finale. With its win Boston secured the No. 1 seed. Both regular season matches between the clubs went to the closest-to-the-pin tie breaker with Jupiter earning its only win last season 4-3.
  • Atlanta had a shot at the No. 1 seed but probably won’t be too upset about its placement. The team found its stride last season winning its final two matches then sweeping the playoffs as the third-seed.
  • Atlanta also had to stew over a 7-3 loss to LA in its final match of this season. The team hasn’t played since that setback on Feb. 23. LA used its trio of top 5 golfers taking control of the match with points on the first 3 holes and never looking back.

TGL Semifinals Top Matchups

  • I’m not sure any team wants to face LA and its lineup of current PGA Tour greats. The trio started each of the last two matches with LA winning both by a combined score of 13-6. However, the lineup could be in flux after Collin Morikawa withdrew from THE PLAYERS Championship with an apparent back ailment.
  • Atlanta enters the playoffs in a bit of a lull after dropping 2 of its last 3 matches, which is the exact opposite of what happened last season. The team was on a roll entering the postseason and cruised through 3 matches to hoist the SoFi Cup.
  • Experience could be a factor with Atlanta having endured the ups and downs of a championship season. The lineup features Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas and ‘Ice Man’ Billy Horschel. Alternate Chris Gotterup played inspired golf for the team during the season.

Best TGL Semifinals Bet

  • Drive for Show and Putt for Dough is the old golf saying. It worked for Boston this season helping them secure the No. 1 seed. Rory McIlroy had several of the longest drives ever in the TGL and along with Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott and Michael Thorbjornson the team was excellent on the green. Hammer strategy wasn’t as sharp as it should’ve been and if that continues, especially in a playoff setting, Boston could have an early exit.

TGL Semifinal Betting Tips

  • The first and most important strategy is to wait until lineups are announced because who plays makes a difference. And we could already see a dent in LA’s lineup with Morikawa withdrawing from THE PLAYERS Championship in the first round.
  • Use of the Hammers is another significant strategy in a playoff setting where points are critical. Both Finals matches last season were decided by a single point and one semifinal was a 2-point match. Jupiter had the most Hammer wins and Boston had the largest Hammer points differential.
