Super Bowl LX Preview: Odds & Betting Tips

For the third straight year the Super Bowl gets a rematch from a previous game. It’s been 11 years but the memory of a brutal loss still haunts the Seattle Seahawks, who can atone for that setback with a win over the New England Patriots. Super Bowl LX takes place on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA and will air on NBC at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Patriots vs. Seahawks Preview

Based on overall records and team performance, the Patriots had an easier path to the Super Bowl. Overcoming consecutive 4-13 they played a last-place schedule and caught fire after a start that saw them lose 2 of their first 3 games, including one to the lowly Raiders. It’s safe to say they’ve improved drastically since then.

The Pats have been on a major heater since Week 4 winning 16 of their last 17 games while going 13-4 against the NFL betting line. The offense has been inconsistent but the defense is rock solid holding their 3 playoff opponents to just 26 total points going UNDER the total twice.

  • The Pats have the best scoring defense in the postseason allowing an average of 8.7 points per game. They were 4th during the season at 18.8 points a game.
  • There was concern earlier in the week over the health of Drake Maye, but the injured shoulder has had proper time to heal. “I’m feeling good, I’ll be fine,” Maye said.
  • There hasn’t been a threat in the passing game this postseason with the Pats averaging less than 148 yards a game. Maye has completed just 55.8 percent of his throws.
  • With their 10-7 win at Denver in the AFC Championship, the Pats improved to 9-0 on the road this season. They failed to cover the 3.5-point spread falling to 7-2 ATS in those games.

Earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC allowed Seattle to rest during the wild card round. That did wonders for them emerging from the break with wins over NFC West foes San Francisco and the Rams by scoring a total of 72 points. Sam Darnold has embraced this postseason run by completing nearly 70 percent of his passes with 4 TDs and zero interceptions.

Against teams not coached by Sean McVay since the end of November the Seahawks’ defense has been dominant. In 6 games, including the divisional round win over the Niners, the team has allowed an average of 7.3 points. In 2 games against the Rams, they allowed 64 points and 1,060 yards.

  • The Seahawks have the 2nd best road record in the NFL going 8-1 SU and against the NFL betting line.
  • Seattle had the best scoring defense during the regular season allowing 17.2 points per contest and was 6th in total defense.
  • With 28 giveaways during the season the Seahawks ranked 2nd. They’ve yet to commit a turnover in 2 playoff games.
  • With OC Klint Kubiak linked to the Raiders HC job there could be a disruption in the offense that averages 36.0 points this postseason.

Patriots vs. Seahawks Predictions

  • The Seahawks are quite familiar with the host venue for Super Bowl LX, having played in Levi’s Stadium just last month in a dominant defensive effort against a good 49ers squad. Seattle allowed 173 and a field goal in the 13-3 win, which wasn’t as close as the score indicates.
  • We talk about defense, but the teams were right behind the Rams during the season in scoring. They are both strong on special teams giving them opportunities to go OVER the listed total of 45.

Patriots vs. Seahawks Betting Tips

  • Seattle is listed as a 4.5-point favorite in Super Bowl odds with a moneyline price listed at -243.
  • The Seahawks were profitable during the season going 12-5 ATS and they earned payouts in their 2 playoff games.
  • The Pats are +214 on the NFL moneyline.
  • New England last got points in Week 16 beating Baltimore outright 28-24 as a 4.5-point dog.
  • The Pats are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games.
  • The OVER is 6-2 in New England’s last 8 games.

Patriots vs. Seahawks Head to Head and Key Stats

  • Seattle has won all 3 meetings since losing in Super Bowl XLIX going 2-0-1 ATS.
  • All 3 games went OVER the closing total.
  • Sam Darnold has overcome a lot this season and he has one more hurdle to clear. He’s 0-4 in his career against the Pats with 9 interceptions, the second-most against any team, and just 1 TD pass.
