Nuggets at Rockets Odds & Betting Tips

Every team in the Western Conference is chasing the defending champion Thunder. The two closest pursuers tangle in the first of three meetings this season on Friday. If offense sells tickets we should have a sell out with Houston and Denver the two highest scoring teams in the NBA.

Three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic has staked a claim for another top honor averaging a triple-double helping the Nuggets win 10 of their first 13 games. And he’s getting plenty of help from Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon.

Nuggets at Rockets Preview

The first of three meetings this season between the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets takes place on Friday, November 21, 2025. Tipoff is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET from Toyota Center in Houston with a live stream on Prime Video.

Public Betting Odds Factors

  • Fans love to see points and the teams have delivered early in the season with both averaging more than 124 points per game. They are also two of the top clubs in the West trying to chase down defending champ OKC.
  • Oddsmakers adjust quickly and totals for Houston and Denver games have steadily risen. Four of Denver’s last nine games had a closing number of 240 or higher and the UNDER was 3-1.
  • The Nuggets have been profitable at the betting window early in the season earning payouts in their last three road games and going 9-4 against the NBA betting line.
  • The addition of Kevin Durant to assist the growth of a young roster has worked out well for the Rockets. KD scored 35 points in Sunday’s overtime win over Orlando, Houston’s fourth straight triumph and ninth in their last 10 games. Durant leads the team averaging 25.9 points per game while playing more than 36 minutes a contest.

Nuggets at Rockets Predictions

  • With the teams playing at a frenetic pace there’s a good chance points come in a hurry. The Nuggets have been successful behind a trio of players that average more than 20 points, led of course by Jokic at 29.5 points per game. Jamal Murray adds 23.1 points and Aaron Gordon 20.3 while combining to shoot nearly 55 percent from the floor.
  • Denver is tough to defend because it’s not often all three players go cold at the same time. And they complement each other perfectly. The trio accounts for nearly 60 percent of Denver’s offensive production.
  • Jokic consistently puts up big numbers making him a target in the prop market. He recorded a second straight triple-double with 36 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists against the Bulls on Monday night and he has eight triple-doubles in 13 games.
  • The production is wider spread but just as lethal for the Rockets. KD leads six players averaging more than 11 points and no team shoots threes better. Houston attempts the fewest threes in the NBA but make a league-best 42.6 percent.

Nuggets at Rockets Betting Tips

  • There’s a good chance these teams will be battling for a top seed in the West all season. And if things break their way they could contend with OKC. With head-to-head being a tie-breaker this early season matchup takes on added significance.
  • The Rockets just swept a 3-game homestand running their home winning streak to 5. Overall they are 9-3 SU and 8-4 against the NBA odds following Sunday’s OT win over Orlando.
  • Denver has scored more than 120 points in 11 of 13 games and boasts the NBA’s third-best record at 10-3. They are 9-4 ATS overall but just 4-2 ATS on the road.
  • Houston’s Tari Eason (50.9%), Reed Sheppard (47.8%) and Josh Okogie (45.7%) all rank among the 16 most accurate 3-point shooters in the NBA.
