NFL Week 7 Best Bets & Expert Picks

NFL Week 7 features several crucial matchups, including an AFC North Thursday Night battle, an International Series game in London, and a pair of intriguing Monday Night contests, the first of which might be the best matchup of the week between the Bucs and Lions. The Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are the two teams on a bye this week.

Notable NFL Week 7 Odds

Steelers at Bengals (-5.5) (Thursday, October 16) – The AFC North kicks off the week with a divisional clash. The Steelers have established themselves as a strong favorite, opening at -4.5 in NFL odds and moving to -5.5 on the road. Pittsburgh has started the season 4-1 and has been a reliable bet (3-2 ATS), while the Bengals are 2-4 ATS.

Rams (-2.5) vs. Jaguars (Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET, London) – The NFL returns to Wembley Stadium for a matchup between the 4-2 Rams and the 4-2 Jaguars. The Rams opened as 3-point favorites but the line has settled at Rams -2.5. Both teams are tied for the league-best 4-2 Against the Spread (ATS) record.

Commanders at Cowboys (+1.5) (Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET) – This NFC East rivalry is the highest Over/Under total of the week, sitting at a lofty 55.5 points. While the Cowboys are the home team, the Commanders are road favorites at -1.5, reflecting market confidence in the Washington offense and the recent struggles of the Cowboys defense.

Buccaneers at Lions (-5.5) (Monday, 7:00 p.m. ET) – One of two Monday Night Football games feature two NFC contenders in the 5-1 Buccaneers and the 4-2 Lions. Detroit is a solid home favorite at -5.5 in NFL odds and with an Over/Under of 53, the game is expected to be a shootout.

NFL Week 7 Best Bets

I am on a nice run right now and I am coming off another winning week as it was 3-2 ATS last week and that makes it 10-4 in the last three weeks with the NFL picks. As a reminder, when it comes to NFL best bets each week you should know that I go against the grain with almost all of my picks. If the public does well, then I will probably struggle, but if the public loses, then I will probably have a good week. There are not many games this week that the public has a strong opinion on for us to go against, but let’s look at Week 7 NFL predictions.

  • Tennessee Titans +7 vs. New England Patriots

As we go through the NFL season it starts to become obvious which teams are going to struggle and the teams that the public goes against on a regular basis. One of those teams this year is Tennessee. The public is all over the Patriots in this game but we get a Wild Card this week because the Titans fired head coach Brian Callahan.  It is anyone’s guess how the Titans will respond to their new coach but historically teams play well in their first game with a new coach. I’ll go against the public and take the Titans plus the points.

  • Arizona Cardinals +6.5 vs. Green Bay Packers

The Cardinals came through for us last week even though they didn’t win outright. Arizona scored a lot of points against the Colts and covered the big number. It could be the same this week against a Green Bay team that the public loves to bet. I go against the public on a regular basis, so I will take the Cardinals plus the points in this contest.

NFL Week 7 Betting Stats & Tips

Keep an eye on the 4:05 p.m. ET slate, which features a compelling AFC contest between the 5-1 Colts and the 4-2 Chargers. The Chargers are slight favorites at -2 in what is expected to be a high-scoring game (Total 48). This game could be an early playoff preview.

The 3-1-1 Green Bay Packers travel to Arizona to face the 2-4 Cardinals as heavy road favorites (-6.5). Green Bay has not been reliable against the spread this season, but the Cardinals are struggling right now.
