NFL Week 6 Best Bets & Expert Predictions

NFL Week 6 NFL odds mean that the 2025 NFL schedule will be a third of the way over after Monday’s games. The NFL Week 6 betting slate features several critical matchups, including an NFC clash on Sunday afternoon between division leaders, as the 49ers visit the Buccaneers, another early game on NFL Network from London, a high-profile Sunday Night Football matchup between the Lions and Chiefs and two games for Week 6 Monday Night Football.

Notable NFL Week 6 Odds

Eagles at Giants (Thursday, October 9) The Giants are reeling at 1-4, and the Eagles, despite their first loss last week, are still strong road favorites in NFL betting odds. The public believes that the Eagles will bounce back after last week’s loss and Philly is 2-0 ATS on the road this season.

Broncos at Jets (London) Denver is laying 7.5 points in this international game, crossing a key number after the line opened at -6.5. The Jets are the lone winless team in the NFL at 0-5. Despite their struggles, the Jets are 2-3 ATS, but the line movement towards Denver reflects the market's expectation that the Broncos will dominate the winless Jets.

Cardinals at Colts Indianapolis continues to be undervalued by the market, driving this line up as high as Colts -6.5. This significant shift comes after the Colts improved to 4-1 against the spread (ATS). The Cardinals, meanwhile, are coming off a brutal home loss and are dealing with injury concerns to their offense.

Lions at Chiefs In what is arguably the game of the week, the Detroit Lions travel to Kansas City as slight road underdogs. Oddsmakers are respecting the high-powered Lions, who are playing like a true NFC power. Patrick Mahomes is 26-6 straight-up against NFC teams but has only a 16-15-1 ATS record in those matchups, making the Lions an intriguing play.

Patriots at Saints The Patriots are coming off a big victory over the Bills, yet it remains to be seen if the market has fully adjusted to their improved play, especially with rookie quarterback Drake Maye ranking in the top five in success rate and EPA per play. The Patriots are 3.5-point road favorites in NFL Week 6 odds.

NFL Week 6 Best Bets

I am sizzling right now with the best bets, as I am coming off a week in which I went 5-1 with the NFL picks. That makes it 7-2 in the last two weeks. As a reminder, when it comes to NFL best bets each week you should know that I go against the grain with almost all of my picks. If the public does well, then I will probably struggle, but if the public loses, then I will probably have a good week. Let’s look at Week 6 NFL predictions.

  • Arizona Cardinals +6.5 at Indianapolis Colts

I am a big fan of the Colts, their coaching staff and Daniel Jones. That being said, the love may be going overboard this week. The Cardinals are capable of playing well and the public is all over the Colts this week. I’ll go against the public and take Arizona plus the points.

  • New Orleans Saints +3.5 vs. New England Patriots

The public loves what they have seen from the Patriots so far this season, but could the Pats have a letdown on the road? I will go against the public and take the Saints

  • Kansas City Chiefs -2.5 vs. Detroit Lions

There is no question that this is a high-profile matchup and the public likes Detroit. I am always leery about laying points when the public is taking the dog, but it worked last week when we had the Saints. I’ll take the Chiefs in this game.

  • San Francisco 49ers +2.5 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another team the public is falling in love with is the Bucs. The 49ers are still a good team and they are catching points. I’ll go against the public and take the 49ers.

  • Carolina Panthers +3.5 vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Panthers are a team the public goes against on a regular basis, but is Dallas really a trustworthy team? I will go against the public and take the Panthers.

NFL Week 6 Betting Stats

Harbaugh's Historical Edge: Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh is a phenomenal bet when favored, holding a (78%) record as a favorite under six points. This is a crucial data point when analyzing the Chargers vs. Dolphins game, indicating a strong historical tendency for his teams to cover in close contests.

Steelers' Schedule Advantage: The Steelers hold a massive scheduling advantage against the Browns this week. Pittsburgh is coming off a bye week, while Cleveland is making a difficult divisional road trip immediately following their game in London, a classic "unfavorable spot" for a traveling team.

NFL Week 6 Betting Tips

Rams at Ravens: Bet the QB News Keep a close eye on the status of Ravens QB Lamar Jackson. If he is officially ruled out, the Rams at -8 is a compelling bet. The Ravens were non-competitive last week against the Texans without Jackson, and the Rams are a strong team looking to correct their Week 5 stumble against a potentially depleted opponent.

Bengals at Packers: The Massive Total Discrepancy The Packers are huge -14.5 favorites against a Bengals team whose offense has completely collapsed since their quarterback's injury, averaging a paltry 12.3 points per game in their last three losses. A high NFL betting spread like this is generally risky, so the Under may be the better choice considering the Bengals are struggling to score.
