NFL Week 2 Parlay & Teaser Best Bets | Expert Picks
With the first week of NFL action in the books we have some intel on teams that could be helpful when placing bets. However, some of that information could be misleading and it’s too early to overreact. I thought Daniel Jones was a decent player in college but I don’t think he’s the savior for the Colts. Jones gets a stiffer test in Week 2 against a tough Denver defense. Indy opened as a 1.5-point home dog on the NFL betting line.
NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks
There are other ways to bet the NFL other than the moneyline, point spread and total. A parlay is one method and my picks last week weren’t as successful as I would’ve liked. That’s where the info gleaned from Week 1 comes in handy. We can better assess teams strengths and weaknesses and make better wagers.
Green Bay made a statement with their Week 1 domination of Detroit, holding last year’s highest scoring team without a touchdown until the final minute in a 27-13 victory. Despite playing only 29 defensive snaps Micah Parsons had an impact and other defenders were able to make big plays. Washington also played a strong game on defense and with the total of 48 the second highest on the board look for both units to step up.
The Browns aren’t as bad as a lot of folks think they are and catching double-digits is a huge amount in the NFL. Sure, the Ravens are looking to rebound after a disastrous setback in Buffalo, but Cleveland’s D did a nice job limiting the Bengals in Week 1. Not counting the final game of the 2025 season when the Browns were a mess, they did cover in four of five meetings. I’ll add Cleveland to my Week 2 NFL parlay ticket.
The Chiefs haven’t started a season 0-2 since before Patrick Mahomes was drafted. They’ll need to beat Philly in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl to keep the streak alive. The spread has bounced around with KC opening as a 1-point dog and now a 1-point favorite. Either way I’ll back the Chiefs since they are 11-2 SU in their last 13 September home games.
- Packers at Commanders UNDER 48
- Browns +11 at Ravens
- Seahawks at Steelers OVER 40.5
- Chiefs -1 vs. Eagles
NFL Week 2 Teaser Picks
I had more success with last week’s teaser picks, which makes sense since moving the spread or total in your favor provides a better chance for a positive outcome. The only loss was backing Detroit with a teased spread of +8.5.
Injuries are already affecting the 49ers, who placed George Kittle on IR and said Brock Purdy questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the Saints. Nawlins isn’t going to win a lot of games this season and they may not prevail against the Niners, but teasing the line to +10 provides a lot of wiggle room.
The Jets let one slip away last week falling to the Steelers in the return of Aaron Rodgers to the Meadowlands. I mentioned double-digit point spreads and teasing this line to Jets +12 at home against the reigning MVP is scary but doable. The Jets can actually move the football with Justin Fields and a decent ground game, and they should be better defensively in this contest.
The Chargers and Raiders have combined to score more than 41 points in nine of their last 10 meetings. And both teams looked comfortable on offense in their openers. Justin Herbert tossed three scoring passes in LA’s win over the Chiefs and Geno Smith was on fire with 362 passing yards against the Pats. Tease the total down and back the OVER in this AFC West tilt.
- Saints teased spread of +10 vs. 49ers
- Jets teased spread of +12 vs. Bills
- Cards teased spread of -0.5 vs. Panthers
- Chargers at Raiders OVER teased total of 41
