With the two Super Bowl favorites meeting in the NFC Championship some might say the third matchup of the year between NFC West rivals the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks is the actual Super Bowl. The game kicks at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from Lumen Field in Seattle and will air on FOX.
Rams at Seahawks Preview
With MVP favorite Matthew Stafford leading the way the Rams had the most prolific offense in the NFL this season leading in average total yards (394.6) and points per game (30.5). For the first time this season Stafford failed to throw a TD pass in last week’s OT win over the Bears and the Rams scored their fewest points since Week 6, but still won.
Stafford and the Rams had no problems working through Seattle’s ‘Dark Side’ defense in Week 16. Stafford threw for a season high 457 yards and 3 TDs without an INT and the Rams amassed 581 total yards in the 38-37 OT loss. LA earned the payout in that game as a 1.5-point underdog on the NFL betting line.
- The Rams were 5th with a plus-11 turnover margin during the season and they’re tied for the playoff lead at plus-4 after collecting 3 takeaways last week in Chicago.
- Stafford had thrown at least 1 TD pass in all 18 games with 10 games of 3 or more before being held without one last week. He had a NFL high 46 during the season.
- After allowing an average of 30 points in their previous 5 games the defense held Chicago to 17 points.
- LA failed to cover in its first 2 playoff games and is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 road games.
The Seahawks feel invincible after manhandling a good but banged-up 49ers squad in their last 2 outings. The defense didn’t allow a TD in those games and opponents hit paydirt just once in the last 3 games. Over that span, which came after allowing a season-high 581 yards to the Rams, Seattle has given up an average of less than 183 yards per game.
Seattle will be without a big part of its offense during the remainder of the postseason after Zach Charbonnet sustained a season-ending knee injury in last week’s win. Charbonnet led the club with 12 rushing TDs and teamed with Kenneth Walker III for 1,757 yards on the ground during the season.
- Walker produced his biggest game of the season in the absence of his running mate last week rushing for 116 yards and 3 TDs on 19 carries. He had 5 rushing TDs during the regular season.
- The Seahawks have gone OVER the total in 5 of their 9 home games this season while going 5-4 ATS.
- Sam Darnold is prone to interceptions, tossing 14 of them during the season. He tossed 4 to the Rams in the Week 11 matchup and has totaled 7 in his last 3 starts against LA.
- Seattle allowed 3.9 yards per play last week and was 2nd in that category during the season.
Rams at Seahawks Predictions
If the season series and recent history is any indication we’re likely to see another close game between these teams. Being in the same division there aren’t many secrets. LA won the Week 11 matchup, 21-19, intercepting Darnold 4 times. Seattle returned the favor in Week 16 overcoming a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit. In both games the underdog road team earned the payout, so back the points in this one.
