NASCAR Xfinity 500 Odds, Picks & Betting Tips
The final race in the NASCAR Cup Series Round of 8 takes place this weekend with the running of the Xfinity 500 on the shortest oval track at Martinsville Speedway. Two-time defending champion Ryan Blaney is the early NASCAR betting odds favorite to become the fourth driver to three-peat and the first since Jimmie Johnson in the mid-2000s. The green flag drops at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 26 with the race televised on NBC.
NASCAR Xfinity 500 Preview
Statistically out of contention for next week’s Final Four championship race on points, Blaney and Chase Elliott can secure a spot with a win, joining last week’s winner Chase Briscoe and Denny Hamlin with victories in the three-race round. The field raced at Martinsville in March with Hamlin winning the Cook Out 400 for his sixth career win on this track, the most among active drivers. Hamlin is the second favorite and one of seven drivers with shorter than 10/1 odds.

NASCAR Xfinity 500 Top Contenders
Ryan Blaney +350
- You could say Blaney has been the best driver at Martinsville recently with two wins among his five top 5 finishes in his last seven starts on the track.
- Before his current streak Blaney notched another five top 5s, including a pair of runners-up in a span of six races.
- Expect Blaney to go all out on a track that’s been good to him with a win getting him a pass into the championship race.
Chase Elliott +700
- In the same boat as Blaney, the only way Elliott can reach the Round of 4 is with a win.
- Elliott won this race in 2020 and has been close to getting another finishing second in last year’s running. Over his last three starts at Martinsville he’s been no worse than fourth leading a total of 235 laps.
- Elliott has an average finish of 12.1 on short tracks during his career, one of the best among active drivers.
Joey Logano +700
- Always showing up in this section is a testament to just how good a driver Logano is. He’s also outside the top 4 but still in contention on points needing a strong finish to reach the championship race.
- He hasn’t won at Martinsville since taking the checkered flag in this race in 2018, but he has been runner-up twice finishing among the top 10 in his last 12 starts on the track.
- Five of his career wins and 33 top 5s have come on short tracks.
Bubba Wallace +2200
- Wallace has value as a mid-range pick with his recent strong showing on short tracks.
- He’s finished among the top 6 in five of his last 10 starts on a short track and recorded his best finish at Martinsville placing third in March.
- Wallace is enjoying one of the finest NCS seasons of his career with a fourth last week, his second top 5 in four starts.
NASCAR Xfinity 500 Predictions
Expect something extra for drivers looking to sneak into the championship race. It’s hard to go against Blaney given his recent success at Martinsville and the fact that he needs a win to advance. He’s already done that the last two years, so why not make it a third. It might not be a bad idea to drop some coin on Kyle Busch for a hefty payout. His winless drought has reached 91 races, but there was a spark recently with a top 10 in Vegas and a fast start last week.
