LIV Golf Indianapolis 2025 Odds & Betting Preview
The final individual tournament of the season takes place at a new venue with LIV Golf Indianapolis determining the season-long champion. The race to the title and the $15 million bounty that comes with it is between Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann. The situation is much like last year when the same two players were contending. Rahm won the season-ending tournament in Chicago to claim the individual championship. He enters this week as the outright betting favorite on the early LIV Golf betting odds but trails in the season points race. The two took different paths to get here with Niemann winning five titles. Rahm has yet to win this season but he’s been remarkably consistent finishing among the top 10 in all but one tournament with three runner-up showings. One of those was last week in Chicago when Rahm lost to Dean Burmester in a three-man playoff along with Jose Ballester.
2025 LIV Golf Indianapolis Overview
The final individual tournament before the team championship in Michigan takes place at The Club at Chatham Hills in the quaint Indianapolis suburb of Westfield. According to LIVGolf.com the course plays at 7,143 yards and par 71 and has been ranked among the best in Indiana for the past few years by Golf Digest. The three-day event begins on August 15 and will be televised on the networks of FOX. The biggest storyline heading into the tournament is the race between Rahm and Niemann for the season championship. However, there is plenty on the line with Lock Zone, Open Zone and Drop Zone positions still to be finalized. The top 24 golfers on the season points list are locked into a full time spot for the 2026 season. Those finishing 49th or worse in points fall into the Drop Zone and will be relegated from the league. Last week in Chicago Burmester became the ninth player to win multiple LIV Golf individual titles, fending off Rahm and Ballester on the first sudden death playoff hole. Burmester’s first LIV win was also in a playoff last year in Miami

2025 LIV Golf Indianapolis Top Contenders
Jon Rahm +466
The odds are short but I like Rahm’s chances with the individual title on the line. The Spaniard sealed last year’s title with a win in Chicago and he needs to finish better than Niemann to have a chance. When the pressure is on Rahm seems to rise to the occasion. He’s also been a model of consistency finishing T11 or better in every tournament this year with three resulting in a runner-up. Rahm has three straight top 5s with two runner-up finishes since his T11 two months ago in Dallas.
Patrick Reed +2150
Reed has a history of performing well on shorter, tidy tracks and Chatham Hills fits the bill. It’s been a good season for Captain America with half of his 12 LIV starts resulting in a top 10, including his first LIV victory in Dallas in June. Though he was consistent last week in Chicago Reed failed to take advantage of scoring opportunities and settled for a T17.
David Puig +2655
After a hot start to the season with two solo fourth-place finishes and a T6 in his first four tournaments, Puig has cooled off. But he hasn’t gone away finishing inside the top 20 in all 11 LIV starts. He missed the tournament in Virginia with a reported back injury. Not as consistent on the leaderboard, Puig has been strong on the course scoring 70 or lower in nine of his last 12 rounds.
Abraham Ancer +4508
Accuracy off the tee and putting are two of Ancer’s strengths and both will play a prominent role this weekend. It’s been a spotty season with three top 10s in 12 starts, but two of those were podium finishes on short tracks at Adelaide and Andalucia, where his accuracy and putting paid off. Last week in Chicago Burmester had roughly the same odds and so did Talor Gooch three tournaments ago in Andalucia. I’m thinking Ancer is worth the risk.

We’re not going to see Rahm go too long without a victory so backing him makes a lot of sense. However, from a value standpoint there are better options and value is something you learn about in our golf betting guide. Reed and Ancer have played well on shorter courses and it’s been feast or famine for Niemann, who finished 20th or worse in five of the seven tournaments he didn’t win. Also, players like Lee Westwood, Henrik Stenson and Ian Poulter need strong tournaments to avoid being relegated.
