Great American Getaway 400 Set for Sunday at Pocono

This upcoming Sunday, the NASCAR Cup series returns to a track that is an old favorite. The Great American Getaway 400 will be run at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA. Known as “The Tricky Triangle,” Pocono is recognized for its triangular configuration and varying banking angles on its three turns, along with an unusually long front straightaway.

Entering this week’s race, the top ten in the NASCAR Cup standings are William Byron, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney, Ross Chastain, Joey Logano, and Bubba Wallace.

2025 The Great American Getaway 400 

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, The Great American Giveaway 400 will take place at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Television coverage on Amazon Prime is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.

The Pocono Raceway was opened in 1969 and is 2.5 miles in length with an asphalt surface.

Bell is 3rd in the NASCAR Cup standings. His 2025 wins were at EchoPark, Circuit of the Americas, and Phoenix Raceway.

#24 – William Byron – Chevrolet – Hendrick Motorsports

So far this season, William Byron has 16 starts with one win, ten Top 10s, seven Top 5s, and an average finish of 10.3. His win was at the Daytona 500. William Byron leads the NASCAR Cup standings in 2025. Among active drivers, Byron has the best average finish at Pocono with 9.4. In 11 starts, he has three Top 5s and six Top 10s.

#45 – Tyler Reddick – Toyota – 23XI Racing 

Tyler Reddick is 6th in the FedEx Cup standings with 16 starts, no wins, five Top 10s, three Top 5s, and an average finish of 14.5. Reddick has seven starts at Pocono with no wins, two Top 5s, and four Top 10s, averaging a finish of 13.6.

#5 – Kyle Larson – Chevrolet – Hendrick Motorsports

Kyle Larson is 2nd in the FedEx Cup standings. In 16 starts, he has three wins, nine Top 5s, and 11 Top 10s, and an average finish of 12.7. At Pocono, Larson has an average finish of 11.6. In 17 starts, he has no wins, five Top 5s, and nine Top 10s. Larson has 2025 wins at Homestead-Miami, Bristol, and Kansas.

#9 – Chase Elliott – Chevrolet – Hendrick Motorsports 

Chase Elliott is 4th in the FedEx Cup standings. In 16 races, he has no wins, eight Top 10s, four Top 5s, and an average finish of 11.2.  At Pocono, Elliott has 15 starts with one win, four Top 5s, 10 Top 10s, and an average finish of 13.5.

Denny Hamlin enters Pocono ranked 5th in the FedEx Cup standings. Hamlin has 15 starts with three wins, seven Top 5s, and eight Top 10s with an average finish of 13.4.  His wins were at Martinsville, Darlington, and Michigan. At Pocono, Hamlin has 35 starts with seven wins, 16 Top 5s, 23 Top 10s, and an average finish of 11.3.

#12 – Ryan Blaney – Ford – Team Penske 

Ryan Blaney is 7th in the FedEx Cup standings with 16 starts, one win, six Top 5s, seven Top 10s, and an average finish of 13.3. At Pocono, Blaney has 15 starts with two wins, three Top 5s, seven Top 10s, and an average finish of 13.4. His 2025 win was in Nashville.
