• It’s early in the season but the Warriors have struggled on the road losing six in a row ahead of their trip to San Antonio. Playing two of the best teams in the Western Conference, the Dubs fell to OKC and Denver in their last two roadies by a combined 49 points.
• Making grievances public can pull a team apart or bring it together. We’ll have to see how the Warriors respond after Green questioned the team’s commitment to winning following the 126-102 loss to the Thunder.
• Following road losses to Phoenix and the Lakers earlier this month, their first setbacks of the season, the Spurs rebounded by winning their next three. A sign of how far they’ve come was being a 5-point road favorite on the NBA betting odds against Chicago on Monday. The Spurs won the game but failed to cover.
• Wembanyama is a target for prop bettors because of his ability to put up massive numbers, but also doing it with the game on the line. Wemby is averaging 25.7 points and 12.8 rebounds and also leads the NBA with 3.9 blocks per game. He scored 18 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter to help the Spurs beat Chicago, 121-117, on Monday.

• Playing a team two games in a row used to happen only in the postseason. However, it’s become a more common occurrence in the NBA in recent years and with little separation between teams, sweeping the set is hard to do.
• Golden State has had issues defending big men over the years and players like Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo have feasted against them. Wembanyama scored at least 25 points in each of his last four games against the Dubs with two double-doubles.
• The Spurs are more than just Wembanyama, though, and getting De’Aaron Fox back in the lineup will help spread the offense. The team scored more than 120 points in each of Fox’s first two games back when he tallied a total of 45 points. As a team the Spurs shoot nearly 50 percent from the floor and average more than 119 points. It’s allowed them to cash the OVER in five straight games.

• With the Spurs undefeated at home and the Warriors riding a 6-game road losing streak entering their set, San Antonio will be a solid home favorite on the NBA betting line.
• We’re not used to seeing the Warriors struggle offensively but that’s happening this season. They are 20th in scoring and field goal percentage and with Stephen Curry off target from deep early in the season the Dubs shoot just 37 percent from deep, 13th in the NBA.
• The Warriors have allowed an average of nearly 125 points in their last six road games, giving up at least 120 in five of those games. The OVER is 5-1 in those games.
• Wembanyama has multiple blocks in eight games this season and has recorded at least one blocked shot in 95 consecutive games.
