The reign of the Kansas City Chiefs could be coming to an end. They enter the Week 12 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts outside the playoff picture and looking to end a 2-game losing streak. Kickoff for the AFC clash is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City with television coverage provided by CBS.
Colts at Chiefs Preview
Following their comeback OT win over Atlanta in Berlin, the Colts entered their bye on high note. They were tied for the best record in the NFL and had a sizable lead in the AFC South. The question is can they maintain the same high level of play over the last six weeks of the NFL season.
There’s no reason to suggest they can’t. The Colts have the largest point differential in the NFL and boast MVP candidate Jonathan Taylor. There is some concern over the level of competition, though. Indy’s two biggest wins were over Denver and the Chargers. Their other six wins were against teams that entered Week 12 with a .745 combined losing percentage.
- The Colts improved to 8-2 with their OT win over Atlanta in Week 10 pushing the 6-point spread on the NFL betting line. They are 6-3-1 ATS overall.
- Both losses have come on the road to the Rams and Pittsburgh by the same 27-20 score. The Colts are 2-2 SU and ATS in their four roadies.
- With his 244 yard performance against the Falcons, Taylor has taken over as the NFL rushing leader. He also has 12 of his NFL high 15 rushing TDs in the last six games.
- The Colts lead the NFL in yards and points and are 4-1 against the OVER in their last five games.
It’s getting to be desperation time for the Chiefs, who saw their dominance in the AFC West slip away with last week’s 22-19 loss to Denver. If the playoffs started this week the Chiefs wouldn’t even be included with their 5-5 record leaving them a game behind Jacksonville for the No. 7 seed.
Offense continues to be an issue, which is hard to say about a team with Patrick Mahomes leading the way. During a stretch where they won five of six games, the Chiefs reached the 30-point mark three times. But they have digressed scoring 40 points total in the last two games and cashing the UNDER in their last five outings.
- After going unbeaten in 12 one-score games a season ago, the Chiefs are on the other end this year dropping to 0-5 in such games following the Denver contest.
- KC continues to be solid defensively with the No. 4 scoring unit allowing just 18.1 points per outing.
- Across his last three starts Mahomes has thrown as many interceptions as TD passes (4) and was sacked three times in each of those games.
- The Chiefs have won 13 of their last 14 home games with payouts in five of their last six.
Colts at Chiefs Predictions
I’m not ready to put a fork in the Chiefs yet. There are games remaining and playing at home has been a plus for them. And I’m not completely sold on the Colts, either. Playing with a sense of desperation should spark Mahomes and KC’s been stout defensively. I’ll lay the 3 points and back the Chiefs at home.
