IU advanced to the CFP semifinals with an emphatic win over Alabama and will face the Oregon Ducks in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The game is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and will air on ESPN.

It’s hard to beat a team twice in a single season, especially one that’s good enough to reach the CFP semifinals. That’s what’s ahead for the Hoosiers, who handed Oregon its only loss with a 30-20 victory in Eugene in Week 7 as a 7-point college football spread underdog. That was a coming out for IU, who barely got by Iowa the week before.
The Hoosiers rolled after the Oregon game, beating Ohio State in the Big Ten championship and routing Alabama, 38-3, in the Rose Bowl. The offense was balanced behind Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza and the defense, like it was all season, was suffocating holding the Tide to less than 200 total yards.
