CFP Semifinal Peach Bowl Odds & Betting Tips

The magical season for the top-ranked Indiana Hoosiers has them within a win of playing for a national championship. IU advanced to the CFP semifinals with an emphatic win over Alabama and will face the Oregon Ducks in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The game is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and will air on ESPN.

Indiana vs. Oregon Preview

It’s hard to beat a team twice in a single season, especially one that’s good enough to reach the CFP semifinals. That’s what’s ahead for the Hoosiers, who handed Oregon its only loss with a 30-20 victory in Eugene in Week 7 as a 7-point college football spread underdog. That was a coming out for IU, who barely got by Iowa the week before.

The Hoosiers rolled after the Oregon game, beating Ohio State in the Big Ten championship and routing Alabama, 38-3, in the Rose Bowl. The offense was balanced behind Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza and the defense, like it was all season, was suffocating holding the Tide to less than 200 total yards.

  • IU’s defense has been the team’s backbone and the group has dominated in the postseason, holding Ohio State in the Big Ten title and Alabama to a total of 13 points.
  • The Hoosiers have allowed an average of just 5.8 points per game over their 4 and are 2nd in the country to OSU with a season points against average of 10.3 per game.
  • Only 2 teams scored at least 20 points against IU with Oregon being one of them in the regular season matchup.
  • Mendoza was 14 of 16 with 3 TD passes against the Tide and now leads the country with 36 TD passes on the season while completing 72.3 percent of his passes.

Oregon has been strong defensively all season ranked among the top 10 nationally in points and yards allowed, but I don’t think anyone expected their dominance in the shutout of Texas Tech in the Orange Bowl. Holding Tech to season lows in passing yards, rushing yards and first downs, the group rallied after allowing more than 500 yards to James Madison in the first round.

For just the second time this season the Ducks were getting points and for the second time they won outright. They were a 3.5-point dog in their Week 5 game at Penn State winning in OT. They closed catching 1-point against Tech and blasted them. The early college football spread has Oregon as a 4-point underdog.

  • Against a team with one of the best turnover margins in the country, the Ducks turned the tables on TTU with 4 takeaways that resulted in 13 points. Oregon has a plus-9 turnover margin.
  • The Ducks have 4 payouts in their last 5 games winning them all by an average of nearly 20 points.
  • Dante Moore has thrown 9 interceptions this season with 3 of them coming in 2 playoff games.

Indiana vs. Oregon Predictions

Oregon took advantage of numerous Texas Tech mistakes to win their quarterfinal game and I don’t think Indiana is going to be as generous. The Ducks offense was held in check by a Red Raiders defense and the Hoosiers stop group has been money all season. I’ll lay the points on the college football daily lines and back IU.

Indiana vs. Oregon Betting Tips

  • Indiana opened as a 4-point favorite with a college football money line price of -180.
  • The Hoosiers have payouts in 3 straight games and are 9-5 ATS this season.
  • Oregon has payouts in 4 of their last 5 games and are 8-5-1 ATS overall.
  • The Ducks are +150 on the college football money lines.
  • The total is listed at 47.5 lower than the 51 total from the Week 7 hookup.
  • The UNDER is 7-5 in OU’s last 12 games.
  • Indiana cashed the UNDER in 2 straight and 3 of the last 4 games.

Indiana vs. Oregon Head to Head and Key Stats

  • This will be the 5th meeting between the programs and the second this season after IU evened the series at 2-2 with a 30-20 win in Week 7.
  • IU limited the Ducks to 267 total yards, intercepted a pair of passes and sacked Dante Moore 6 times claiming the upset as a 7-point road dog.
  • Both Hoosiers wins were upsets in Eugene, the first in 2004, 30-24.
