A huge matchup between two of the top four teams in the Eastern Conference hits the hardwood on Sunday. The Celtics were expected to compete for a playoff berth before the season, but I don’t think anyone had them in the race for the top seed.

After winning the East’s No. 1 seed last season more of the same was expected from the Cavs. They haven’t been nearly as good but they’ve proven to be a contender after beating conference-leading Detroit on Monday.

The addition of James Harden at the trade deadline has boosted Cleveland’s offensive efficiency and with Donovan Mitchell averaging 28.5 points the Cavs are the third-highest scoring team in the league. In 9 games since being acquired Harden is averaging 19.1 points and 8 assists per game.
