Bucks at 76ers Betting Preview

It’s hard to imagine the Bucks without Giannis Antetokounmpo, the former MVP who has spent his entire career with the club since being drafted in the first round in 2015. But with the Bucks outside the top 10 in the Eastern Conference and struggling most of the season, his name has been tossed around as trade bait.

The Bucks look to make a run up the standings in the second half and beating teams ahead of them is important. They take on another former MVP in Joel Embiid and 76ers with only five separating the teams in the standings.

Bucks at 76ers Preview

The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers will convene for the third of four meetings this season on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Tipoff from Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia is slated for 8 p.m. ET with the game televised on NBC.

Public Betting Odds Factors

  • The Bucks have yet to put a winning streak of more than 2 games together and wasted a chance to match their longest run of the season with a blowout loss to OKC last week, it was their fourth setback in 5 games going 1-4 against the NBA spread in that stretch.
  • A decline in offensive production and efficiency has plagued the Bucks the last few seasons. When they won the NBA title in 2021 the Bucks led the league in scoring and were the most efficient on offense. This season they rank 27th in scoring averaging 8 points per game less than they did in their championship year.
  • Milwaukee played OVER the total in its loss to OKC for only the second time in 6 games. Overall the Bucks have the second highest UNDER percentage in the NBA.
  • It’s been a frustrating season for Antetokounmpo playing in just 29 of the team’s first 43 games. He is a force when he’s on the court, though, averaging 28.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists while shooting nearly 65 percent from the floor. The Bucks have a winning record in games Giannis starts going 15-14.
  • A stretch of games like what the Sixers are facing make it tough for coaches to manage minutes. This will be Philly’s third game in 4 nights and the second of a back to back after playing in Charlotte on Monday.
  • To manage stress on Embiid’s knees he typically doesn’t play in the second game of a back to back. That was the case last week in a 116-110 loss to Phoenix. That was Philly’s first loss in the back end in their last 5.

Bucks at 76ers Predictions

  • With Embiid likely sitting out the second game of a back to back and Giannis looking to ignite a run for his team, this is a good scenario for that to happen. A defense spearheaded by Embiid has frustrated Antetokounmpo in the past, but without that layer of defense the Freak will have free run of the floor.
  • With Embiid and Paul George each missing nearly half the season to date, rookie VJ Edgecombe has teamed with Tyrese Maxey to form a formidable scoring duo. Maxey is currently 3rd in the NBA averaging 30 points with Edgecombe at 15.8 points per game.

Bucks at 76ers Betting Tips

  • The Bucks have one of the worst cover percentages in the NBA with payouts in 44.2 percent of their games. They failed to get a payout in 2 earlier meetings with the Sixers.
  • At 24-18 ATS through their first 42 games the Sixers have the 3rd best cover percentage in the NBA. However, they are just 10-13 ATS at home.
  • The UNDER is 14-7 in Milwaukee’s last 21 games.

Bucks at 76ers Head to Head and Key Stats

  • Philly’s 123-114 overtime win in November snapped an 8-game losing streak to the Bucks. They won again, 116-101, in December with both victories on the road.
  • Tyrese Maxey scored 54 points hitting 18 of 30 shots in the first matchup.
  • Antetokounmpo and Embiid each missed the first two contests.
  • The OVER is 6-2 with a push in the previous 9 head to head matchups.
