The PGA Tour’s trip through the state of Florida continues with this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. The third of eight Signature Events on the schedule brings out the best players after a subdued field last week. That means world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is back and in a familiar position as the PGA golf odds betting favorite.
What Is The Arnold Palmer Invitational?
First played in 1979, the Arnold Palmer Invitational is a premier stop on the PGA Tour even before getting Signature Event status. One of 5 invitationals on the Tour schedule it features a reduced field of around 70 players with a $20 million prize purse. The winner receives a red cardigan sweater in memory of Palmer, a tradition introduced in 2017 following Palmer’s death.
Where Is The Arnold Palmer Invitational Played?
Since its inception the Arnold Palmer Invitational has been held exclusively at Bay Hill Club and Lodge, a property purchased by Palmer in 1974. Bay Hill is a suburb located southwest of Orlando. The 7,466-yard, par-72 layout is mostly flat with water hazards on most holes. Bay Hill has been a challenge with the last 9 tournaments having scoring averages over par.
The Arnold Palmer Invitational Schedule
The tournament will be contested over 4 days from March 5-8, 2026. As a Signature Event and an invitational the field is limited to around 70 golfers with a format featuring 72 holes of stroke play. There is a cut this week with the top 50 and ties advancing to play the weekend.

Slow starts have doomed Scheffler in his last tournaments. He overcame the first two to finish inside the top 5. But his opening 74 at The Genesis put him in a steep hole even he couldn’t climb out of. Scheffler had his string of 18 straight top 10s end with a T12. He’s back on a course that’s treated him well with 2 wins never finishing outside the top 15 in 5 career starts.
Backing an outright winner in a stacked field that includes the return of Justin Thomas and Sungjae Im from injury is a tough call. Other betting markets are open and worth a look. Check out this golf betting resource to improve your chances of winning on the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Who Won the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational?
Russell Henley drained an eagle putt on the 16th hole on Sunday that proved to be the difference in his 5th career PGA Tour victory. Henley finished the day at 2-under edging Collin Morikawa, who stumbled through the back nine, by one shot. Henley overcame an opening 72 that left him 6 swings behind first round leader Wyndham Clark.
Corey Conners was 2 off the pace alone in third with Michael Kim taking 4th at 7-under. Defending champion Scheffler was never in contention finishing 7 shots back at 4-under 284.
